Many companies are taking advantage of many social networks on the web. There is a good reason why so many businesses use this to their advantage. Over 85% of all these world use some kind of network, whether it be facebook or myspace. These applications help businesses search for new employees or helps them connect with current employees. It also helps businesses comunicate with their customers. With more and more people connected to these online social networks, it makes it fairly easy to keep in touch. Another advantage for the company is that is gives them alternative methods to providing information for their employees as well as their clients. Besides printing flyers and communicating through email which both are still efficient, posting information on blog sites or on the social network page would increase the number of people that view the information. Like if they were advertising something at a special price for a limited time, posting it on a site would that would increase the sale of that item which in turn would increase the profits of that company I find myself always checking my facebook for all kinds of information. In my workplace we use face book as a means of connecting with our co-workers. It helps us get a better understanding of that person. In all, social networking can help a business gain knowledge and information that they would not have.

Its Valentine's Day in the U.S. The most expensive holiday right behind Christmas. Everybody seems to have their own meaning of this day. A lot of people use this day to shower that special someone with gifts such as chocolate and roses. Some people use it to think about what they would do if they had that special someone. Others just see it as a regular day passing by. For me it means several things. My little sister is born on Valentine's Day so every February 14th is a celebration for my family. Also it means that my Mom's birthday is close by ( February 19th, 5 days away). Whatever meaning you choose to take for yourself. there is no way you forget the holiday. It only comes once a year. Happy Valentine's Day!

Competitive advantage is considered the means by which a company continues to maintain profit while still sustaining a spot over their competitors. Competitive advantage happens when one company can provide the same services as another company except these services are fairly cheaper. There are certain ways that a business can have comparative advantage over one another. A company has to be prepared to change with the changing economy. Certain behavior that a business started with may not produce much profit in the future with the way things are changing. Consistency is good in a business but you have to remember to keep up the times. In the business field, you have work on delivering benefits that will prolong your business's life. In the market that we are in, there are many companies waiting for the opportunity to shed some light on them. Almost all businesses face some stiff competition against rivals
Cost Leadership is one area that distinguishes competitors from one another. A lot of the competition is based upon price. Another concern that separates business is the way they promote. The promotion of a business is very crucial in a business stand point. Its provides the business with advertisement and gives the customer something to remember the customer by. Just a couple of points that assist the business in gaining a edge over their rivals. Competitive advantage is very important.

Community Experience

There are several advantages with being a part of a community. While working in a community, you are going to have people that are 100 percent involved. Normally the amount of participation follows a 80/20 ratio. When working in a community, you have to recognize who is who in the community so that your community can be resourceful. A community has to have good connectivity so that ideas can get passed effectively.

Trust is another issue that is dealt with when working in a community. Trust acts as the foundation in the the community. Trust between people is indispensable as a means of acquiring things of value. We would never learn anything if we didn't trust the person giving us the information. If the trust is broken, then the community becomes useless. We lose cooperation when trust is broken and everyone in the community loses respect for each other.

Data Hierarchy

Data Hierarchy is important in a system. Data hierarchy is defined as a systematic organization of data. When data is recorded, it is very important that it becomes easy to access. In order for it to be organized, data hierarchy needs to maintained in the system. Knowledge management depends on organization. Data Hierarchy provides relationships between the data and other data that has been collected. Without data hierarchy, all the user has is just data in a random order. This makes it hard for the user to locate a piece of information in a field of data.

Wisdom matters the Most

When it comes to knowledge, having wisdom is very important. Wisdom comprises strategy or a particular method that is used to obtain the knowledge that is seeked. Wisdom helps us find understanding where there isn't any. It reveals questions that would not normally be asked without obtaining some form of wisdom. Wisdom is defined as the process that we use to discern or judge what is right and what is wrong. Wisdom matters most because it is a human state of mind. It can't come from any piece of equipment, it something that is accessed through the individual.

Wisdom gathers all the principles and turns it into understanding. With wisdom you can add that to raw data to make it more resourceful. It can turn something that may seem like nothing into a work of art.

One More Thing

I have always wondered how some people balance school and other agendas. Sometimes it can get so hectic with everything that is going on. I hate playing catch-up but that is usually what I end up doing. It has gotta get better than this.

Post Weekend

So far...long day, however last nite was longer. I spent most of the night working on some finance homework. I couldn't get much done at work. I have been somewhat lazy which is not good for me. Hopefully i can get some things done tonight.
